Twice Upon a Time

Best described in these 6words: Three Kingdoms, Two Girls, One Fate.  (Yeah, I'm pretty proud of that little line)

Twice Upon a Time (formerly titled Double Helix and Double Twist) is the story of identical twins, born to the King and Queen of Taliva the night their older brother is murdered.  The eldest, Contenza, is kidnapped by the lackey of the the same man responsible for the young prince's death.  The lackey can't find it in his heart to kill her, but abandons the newborn Connie in an alley where she is found and adopted by the Carver family.  Meanwhile, the lackey goes to report the princess's "death" to his master, only to discover that the princess is still at the castle!  Nobody except the king, queen, and the midwife knew that twins were born that night.  So the younger twin, Jensina, grows up a princess, and the king and queen tell no one about her twin, in hopes to catch the kidnapper and murderer of their daughter. (don't get confused- Connie's fine, they don't know that because they found her receiving blanket bloody from when the lackey knocked the midwife on the head with the hilt of his sword and accidentally cut himself.  They think the blood was Connie's, though)
Well, as these stories normally go, the twins switch places, accidentally, several times, without meeting each other.  There's a complicated love hexagon thing (like a love triangle, only twice as complicated) because every person involved has at least two identities.  There's an arranged marriage, betrayal, confusion, and all out insanity.  Oh, and did I mention music?  Yeah.  This is going to be an animated Disney-esque musical (at least in my mind)
You can listen to the beginnings of the songs here. (you may need to make a free account for Noteflight to see it, though)

Want to know how to tell the twins apart?
The traditional girl/girl twin colors, pink and purple are used here.  Pink for Connie, purple for Jennie.  Connie's the oldest, so they gave her pink thinking they were having a singleton.  Then Jennie popped out and they gave her purple.  Purple is also the color of royalty, so it's fitting that Jennie's the one who grows up a royal.  They both incorporate green in their color schemes, as that is the national color of Taliva.  Lastly, since I can't have tomboy Connie running around in pink (she'd hate me, and coming from a girl who owns a grand total of three pink articles of clothing [2 tees, a cami, and a pair of flats that are too small that are going back to Elli- I stole them.] that would be mean) I have Connie wearing yellow and Jennie in blue.  Yellow is the easiest dye color to make (found this out while researching Beauty is Blind) so, as a commoner, Connie would have more access to greens and yellows than pinks.  She does get a smashing pink and gold princess dress, which she hates, but is so perfect for the scene.  tehe.  Blue is just another random color.
Something else I just noticed about the colors?  SPOILERS-highlight for them: Jennie marries Prince Micah of Evanslei, whose national color is blue.  Connie ends up with Nolan, prince of Rayourn, and Rayourn's color is orange, which is close to yellow.  Did not plan that.  Cool.

I made up this story for Elli and finished telling it to her while we were vacationing 2 years ago in Disneyworld.  It's my dream to have Disney (or anybody for that matter) make this movie.  It was originally going to be a novel, but it just wasn't working.  Then I took a screenwriting class spring semester of 2012.  And I just knew that Twice Upon a Time was meant to be a movie.
